Definition:
A word, picture, or other symbol that describes something about the goods or services in connection with which it is used, such as purpose, their size or color, the class of users, or the end effect on users.
Current Filing Basis
Definition:
In applications under §§1 and 44 of the Trademark Act, the applicant may claim more than one basis, and may add or substitute a basis after filing the application.
Domain Name
Definition:
The names and words that companies designate for their registered Internet web site addresses, also referred to as a "URL."
